The Board of Directors of The Mandalay Projects Limited is the organisation’s senior governance body. The Board supervises the activities of a number of sub-committees which handle day-to-day activities in areas such as new project proposals, membership and fund-raising. The Board of Directors comprises the following executives:
Founder & Chairman: Ian S. Love
Ian Love is an Australian Chartered Accountant who has spent sixteen years living and working in Asia — eight years in Hong Kong, followed by eight years in Singapore. Now based in Perth, Western Australia, his area of speciality is executive compensation structure and planning for multinational companies doing business in the Asia Pacific region. In 2008 Ian and his wife Anne returned to their home in Western Australia where their daughters, Emma and Rebecca attend school. The whole family has been involved to a greater or lesser extent with The Mandalay Projects since its inception.
Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer: David Gibson
David Gibson runs his own management consultancy practice, based in Noosa, Queensland. He and his wife Lorna are Scots and Permanent Residents of Australia. Prior to setting up his own business, David enjoyed a 22-year career in the international financial services industry, living and working in London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore. David has extensive senior management experience, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, where he has also served on a number of government panels and industry bodies. He has been actively involved in the work of The Mandalay Projects since 2005.
Director: Robert Nash
Robert Nash has been practicing as a barrister from Francis Burt Chambers, Perth for some 12 years and has been admitted as a legal practitioner for 21 years. He is also a non-executive director of Bauxite Resources Ltd, a mining company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Robert is currently a member of the WA Navy Legal Panel and a member of the Racing Penalties Appeals Tribunal of Western Australia. Previously he has served as a councillor on the Law Society of Western Australia Council, has been a committee member of both the Society’s ethics and professional conduct committees, and has served as a local government councillor. Robert was a Rotarian for a number of years including acting as President of his local Rotary Club. He is married to Sue, and they have two daughters, Katie and Nichola.
