Board of Directors

The Board of Direc­tors of The Man­dalay Projects Lim­ited is the organisation’s senior gov­er­nance body.  The Board super­vises the activ­i­ties of a num­ber of sub-committees which han­dle day-to-day activ­i­ties in areas such as new project pro­pos­als, mem­ber­ship and fund-raising. The Board of Direc­tors com­prises the fol­low­ing executives:

Founder & Chair­man: Ian S. Love 

Ian Love is an Aus­tralian Char­tered Accoun­tant who has spent six­teen years liv­ing and work­ing in Asia — eight years in Hong Kong, fol­lowed by eight years in Singapore.  Now based in Perth, West­ern Aus­tralia, his area of spe­cial­ity is exec­u­tive com­pen­sa­tion struc­ture and plan­ning for multi­na­tional com­pa­nies doing busi­ness in the Asia Pacific region.    In 2008 Ian and his wife Anne returned to their home in West­ern Aus­tralia where their daugh­ters, Emma and Rebecca attend school.  The whole fam­ily has been involved to a greater or lesser extent with The Man­dalay Projects since its inception.

Co-founder & Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer: David Gibson

David Gib­son runs his own man­age­ment con­sul­tancy prac­tice, based in Noosa, Queens­land.  He and his wife Lorna are Scots and Per­ma­nent Res­i­dents of Aus­tralia. Prior to set­ting up his own busi­ness, David enjoyed a 22-year career in the inter­na­tional finan­cial ser­vices indus­try, liv­ing and work­ing in Lon­don, New York, Tokyo and Sin­ga­pore.   David has exten­sive senior man­age­ment expe­ri­ence, par­tic­u­larly in the Asia Pacific region, where he has also served on a num­ber of gov­ern­ment pan­els and indus­try bod­ies.  He has been actively involved in the work of The Man­dalay Projects since 2005.

Direc­tor: Robert Nash

Robert Nash has been prac­tic­ing as a bar­ris­ter from Fran­cis Burt Cham­bers, Perth for some 12 years and has been admit­ted as a legal prac­ti­tioner for 21 years. He is also a non-executive direc­tor of Baux­ite Resources Ltd, a min­ing com­pany listed on the Aus­tralian Stock Exchange. Robert is cur­rently a mem­ber of the WA Navy Legal Panel and a mem­ber of the Rac­ing Penal­ties Appeals Tri­bunal of West­ern Aus­tralia. Pre­vi­ously he has served as a coun­cil­lor on the Law Soci­ety of West­ern Aus­tralia Coun­cil, has been a com­mit­tee mem­ber of both the Society’s ethics and pro­fes­sional con­duct com­mit­tees, and has served as a local gov­ern­ment coun­cil­lor. Robert was a Rotar­ian for a num­ber of years includ­ing act­ing as Pres­i­dent of his local Rotary Club. He is mar­ried to Sue, and they have two daugh­ters, Katie and Nichola.
